Person reading a book

Books near you,
from people near you.

Swap. Give. Borrow.
No shipping, no fees. Just people sharing books.

How it works

  1. List a book — Search by title. Takes 30 seconds.
  2. See what's nearby — Books close to where you are. Nothing else.
  3. Meet and exchange — Message the owner, arrange a handoff. Done.

Your office has a library. You just haven't found it yet.

That book on your colleague's desk? They've finished it. The one you just read? Someone down the hall would love it.

See what your coworkers are swapping and giving away. Message them directly. Lunch break exchange, done by end of day.

Textbooks cost too much. Your classmates have them.

That €80 textbook you need for one semester? Someone who took the course last year has it on a shelf.

Swap textbooks when courses end. Pass on what you've finished. Find what you need without the bookstore markup.

Good books shouldn't collect dust.

You've read them. They're sitting there. Selling is a hassle. Donating feels like a black hole.

List a book, someone nearby asks for it, you hand it over. You see it go to an actual person who wanted it.

Read more. Buy less.

New books are expensive. And for what? The same words printed on fresh paper while copies sit unread nearby.

See books people in your area are giving away or swapping. No shipping, no fees. Meet up, take it home.

Why this exists

I built this for fun, mostly playing with AI. But it does solve real problems: books stop collecting dust, you save money, and you might meet someone who reads the same weird stuff you do.

Reading is great. More people should do it.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes.

Do I have to ship anything?

No. You meet locally. That's the point.

Does it work in my city?

Works anywhere. The more people in your area use it, the more books you'll see.

What if there are no books near me yet?

List yours first. Be the reason someone else joins.

What books can I list?

Anything you can find in our search. If it's a real book, it's probably there.

Is it safe to meet strangers?

Use common sense. Meet in public places—coffee shops, libraries, office lobbies. Daytime.

What about my privacy?

We round your location to roughly 1km when saving. Nobody sees your exact address—just that you're nearby.
